The storefront text is not subtle: steal fish from other players. This is a 6-player tycoon with no VIP servers. If you only steal from nests, you are playing half the description. If you only raid, you will die broke on Grey Trail. This page is the PvP half. Defense is how to protect your base. Nest PvE is how to steal eggs.

When a player steal is worth it

Raid when you can see a fish that beats your cut line (best fish) and you can leave with it. Typical windows:

• Target is in the endless pool with no lock.
• Target just hatched and is still in the place animation.
• Target is on a long far-water swim, tank unattended.
• You hopped onto a shard where two players are trading chases in open water and nobody is home.

Skip the raid when:

• You are still on Grey Trail and they are on Purple. You will not leave.
• The fish is worse than your worst slot. You would steal a downgrade.
• Three people are already circling that tank. You are the loot.

Speed still decides PvP

Player steals fail for the same reason nest steals fail: you are slow. A Trail multiplier helps you exit their tank line as much as it helps you exit a shark. Buy Speed first (how to get Speed, trails tier list). A raid on 1.0x against a Gold Trail defender is comedy.

There is no confirmed combat meta in official materials — no named slap tool, no gun. Assume swim, grab, leave. If a patch adds knockback, we will say so on updates. Until then, do not detour into a brawl.

Shard picking

You cannot open a VIP server. You can hop. Low-population shards are better for nest farming. High-population shards have more tanks to raid and more people raiding you. Pick the shard for the session you want. If you came to fill the fish index, a quiet shard plus nests is faster than fighting five thieves for one mutation.

Ethics, bans, and scripts

Raiding is the game. Using a third-party auto-steal on every tank is not. That lives on the scripts hub with the usual account-risk warning. This page assumes you press the buttons yourself.

Do not social-engineer passwords, “trust trades,” or off-platform payments for fish. There is no official trade plaza in the storefront text. If someone DMs a sale, it is a scam.

After you steal a player’s fish

Treat it like a hatch you did not wait for: compare $/s, keep or drop, lock your tank, then leave the area. Standing in their doorway to emote is how you lose the fish back. If the stolen fish is S-tier income, you just became the raid target. Read protection again.

Nests versus players in one sentence

Nests pay on a schedule you control. Players pay in spikes when they make a mistake. New accounts should live on nests until Blue Trail. Mid accounts can mix. Late accounts with Universal still should not ignore a tagged Jellyfish Egg in the open because they are “full PvP now.” The best steal is the one you bank. Getting Started still applies if your tank is empty after a bad raid night.

The 13 September biome will create new AFK patterns as people scout far water. That is a raid window, not a reason to skip Speed. Scout, then take the fish, then go home.

Co-op clips of friends stealing together are the other half of this page: a partner can bait a nest while you empty an AFK tank, or you can both ignore PvP and chain nearby eggs. Six-player shards still include strangers. A “friend run” is not a private server. Lock the tank before you both leave.
